EnviTec Biogas is set to enter the Lithuanian market after securing three new plant construction contracts. CEO Olaf von Lehmden expressed confidence in the company's momentum for the new fiscal year but warned that political uncertainties in Germany could hinder investment in the renewable energy sector.
CFO Jörg Fischer criticized the German government's recent legislative proposals for lacking necessary improvements and noted that climate targets have taken a back seat in political discussions. Despite these challenges, the company believes biomethane will be a key energy source, highlighting its cost-effectiveness compared to conventional natural gas. Additionally, EnviTec anticipates growth from its acquisition of LIQVIS and its network of 18 LNG filling stations, with a new plant in Holdorf, Lower Saxony expected to commence operations in the first quarter.
