ETW to Supply Biomethane and CHP Plant for Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe in Germany
Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe (BSR) has contracted ETW Energietechnik GmbH to supply a biomethane plant capable of processing 700 Nm³/h of landfill gas. The project, developed with Rytec GmbH, aims for environmental protection and climate neutrality. ETW will also provide a CHP unit to minimize external electricity needs, increasing the methane yield to over 95 percent.

Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe (BSR) has awarded ETW Energietechnik GmbH a contract for a biomethane plant that will process up to 700 Nm³/h of landfill gas into biomethane. This project, developed in collaboration with planning office Rytec GmbH, aims to enhance environmental protection and climate neutrality. To reduce reliance on external electricity, ETW will supply a combined heat and power (CHP) unit powered by off-gas from the processing plant, raising the methane yield to over 95 percent.
