Filippo Ghirelli, an Italian billionaire, acquired a 25% stake in Nayara Energy for $169 million, boosting his net worth to $1.5 billion with the stake now valued at $1.1 billion. With Nayara reporting a net income of $760 million for the fiscal year ending March 2025, Ghirelli is expanding his investment focus to infrastructure through his firm Infracorp, committing over $100 million to diverse projects, including biofuel and waste-to-energy facilities. He anticipates that these future investments could yield returns four to five times greater than his initial successes.

Nayara Energy reported a net income of $760 million on revenues of $17.6 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2025. Ghirelli's focus has expanded beyond energy, targeting infrastructure projects through his firm Infracorp, which includes investments in airports, AI, and space initiatives.
He aims to create a network of private terminals in Europe and has already committed over $100 million across 65 projects, including biofuel and waste-to-energy facilities. Ghirelli anticipates that his future investments could yield returns four to five times greater than his initial successes.
