Future Biogas Acquires Burton Agnes Renewables to Expand Biomethane Production in East Yorkshire
Future Biogas has acquired Burton Agnes Renewables Limited, a biomethane facility in East Yorkshire, which it has operated since 2021. This acquisition marks Future Biogas's tenth plant with a majority stake. The facility generates 40GWh of biomethane annually and has the potential to capture over 7kt of CO2 per year.

Future Biogas has acquired Burton Agnes Renewables Limited, a biomethane production facility in East Yorkshire, where it has been managing operations since 2021. This acquisition brings the total number of plants under Future Biogas's majority ownership to ten.
The facility currently produces 40GWh of biomethane annually and has potential for CO2 capture exceeding 7kt per year. Future Biogas aims to enhance production and sustainability at the site while supporting local agriculture by returning digestate as a nutrient source.
