GICON® has been awarded the second prize in the MINGENTEC competition 'Lausitz Goes International 2025' for its biogas and biomethane production technology from organic waste, specifically aimed at the French market. The award, with a €10,000 prize, was granted by economic development agencies of Brandenburg and Saxony.

GICON® operates in Europe and has launched a pilot plant in the Paris area for the energy and material recovery of organic waste. This facility utilizes a newly developed treatment process that significantly increases biomethane yield. GICON® aims to support the French government's goal of achieving 10% of national gas consumption from biomethane by 2030.
