Greater Noida to Establish Waste-to-Energy and Processing Plants with Bio-CNG and Biogas Facilities
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has initiated an Expression of Interest for companies to propose advanced waste processing solutions, aiming to enhance waste management in the region. A processing plant in Astoli village will convert 300 tonnes of organic waste daily into bio-CNG, while additional facilities will handle garden waste and cow dung, promoting sustainability. Official tenders will be issued soon as proposals are reviewed.

Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for companies to propose modern waste processing solutions. The initiative aims to improve waste management, including biodegradable kitchen waste, garden trimmings, and electronic waste.
A processing plant capable of handling 300 tonnes of organic waste daily will be constructed in Astoli village to convert it into bio-CNG. Additionally, a facility for garden waste will process 50 tonnes daily through composting.
GNIDA is also setting up bio-gas plants at cow shelters, like Pauvari Gaushala, to process 50 tonnes of cow dung and organic waste daily, generating fuel and reducing waste. Proposals from interested companies are currently under review, with official tenders to be issued soon. The project aims to enhance the city's waste management infrastructure, making it more sustainable and eco-friendly.
