Gyeonggi Province Unveils Revised Forestry Plan for Climate Crisis Response and New Industry Development
Gyeonggi Province has launched the revised '6th Regional Forest Plan,' effective until 2037, focusing on enhancing residents' quality of life and expanding forest roles to address climate crises and foster new industries. The plan includes eight strategies and 35 tasks, emphasizing scientific forest management using advanced digital technologies and climate data for disaster predictions. New initiatives aim to connect forest trails and develop leisure infrastructure, while economic value generation through carbon absorption and bioenergy is also prioritized.
