Hercules Tanker Management Receives Second Methanol Bunker Tanker 'Hercules Elisabeth' in China
Hercules Tanker Management (HTM) announced the delivery of the Hercules Elisabeth, the second vessel in its Ultra-Spec Series of 7,700 DWT tankers, designed for conventional and alternative fuel transport. The delivery took place in China on February 20, 2026. The series aims for sustainability, targeting 10% alternative fuel consumption by 2030, with further vessels scheduled for delivery through 2027.

Hercules Tanker Management (HTM) announced the successful delivery of the Hercules Elisabeth on February 20, 2026, in China. This tanker is the second in HTM's Ultra-Spec Series, which includes ten 7,700 DWT vessels designed for worldwide operations and capable of transporting conventional bunkers and alternative fuels like methanol.
The vessels feature diesel-electric propulsion and battery-ready configurations to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. HTM plans to add up to 10 IMO II Chemical Tankers capable of supplying 100% biofuel and various forms of methanol. The series aims to achieve 10% alternative fuel consumption by 2030, with additional vessels expected through 2027.
