Heygaz Secures €225 Million for Biogas-to-Biomethane Projects in Europe
Heygaz, backed by InfraVia Capital Partners, has successfully closed financing of approximately €225 million to develop over 15 biomethane projects across Europe. This funding provides operational flexibility for the development and conversion of existing biogas plants. The company aims for a biomethane capacity of 1.5 TWh by 2030, with ongoing projects expected in 2026 and 2027. The financing was provided by a diverse group of lenders, reflecting strong demand for renewable infrastructure assets.

Heygaz, a Spanish biomethane platform backed by InfraVia Capital Partners, has secured approximately €225 million in financing to immediately develop over 15 biomethane projects in Europe. The funding allows for the construction and conversion of existing biogas plants to biomethane.
Headquartered in Madrid, Heygaz operates nine plants and has four under construction, expanding into Portugal, Ireland, Norway, and Greece. The company aims to achieve a biomethane capacity of 1.5 TWh by 2030, with several new projects planned for 2026 and 2027. The financing comes from a diverse group of lenders, indicating a strong appetite for renewable infrastructure assets.
