Iowa Approves $4.59 Million for Biofuel Infrastructure Expansion Across 46 Counties
Iowa has approved nearly $4.59 million for 108 projects aimed at expanding biofuel infrastructure across 46 counties, with $3.99 million allocated for ethanol initiatives and $600,000 for biodiesel projects. This funding will enhance fuel retailer infrastructure to improve access to cleaner-burning fuels like E15 and biodiesel, supporting Iowa's E15 Access Standard and benefiting local jobs and communities.

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program board approved 108 projects with a total funding of nearly $4.59 million to enhance biofuel access in 46 counties. This includes $3.99 million for 93 ethanol-related initiatives and $600,000 for 15 biodiesel projects.
The funding aims to upgrade fuel retailer infrastructure to increase the availability of cleaner-burning fuels such as E15 and biodiesel. It will assist stations in meeting Iowa's E15 Access Standard, ultimately benefiting local jobs and communities.
