Irish Mainport Group launched the Geo Master, a 41.5m DP2 hybrid survey vessel, on January 9 at Neptune Construction B.V. in the Netherlands. Weighing 498 tons, it will support high-resolution geophysical and geotechnical surveys in the offshore wind sector, enhancing operational efficiency and data accuracy.

The vessel is set to enter service by March and is part of a long-term charter agreement with N-Sea Group, which also operates its twin vessel, Geo Ranger. The Geo Master will meet modern standards for fuel efficiency and emissions, with the capability to run on biofuel. It will accommodate a crew of 7 and 19 additional personnel and will be Dutch-flagged under N-Sea's commercial management.
