JCB to Launch B100 Biodiesel for Excavators in Europe by June 2026
JCB will be the first company to use B100 biodiesel, derived from renewable sources, in its tracked excavators sold in Europe starting June 2026. This fuel, made from recycled vegetable oils, offers up to 93% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to standard diesel. JCB has partnered with Syntech Biofuel to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and warranties for machines using B100 fuel.

JCB plans to introduce B100 biodiesel in its tracked excavators, including models 140X, 145XR, 150X, 220X, and 245XR, starting in June 2026. B100 is a renewable fuel made entirely from recycled vegetable oils and offers significant carbon savings.
It has been validated for use in X Series excavators through a collaboration with Syntech Biofuel, meeting BS EN 14214 and ISCC certification standards. Customers can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 93% compared to standard diesel. JCB will support B100 operations with warranties and service contracts.
