Jenike & Johanson Secures Patent for Jen-Zero™ Biomass Feeding Solution
Jenike & Johanson has received a patent for its Jen-Zero™ technology, addressing critical challenges in biomass and MSW feeding for biofuels. This innovation enhances scalability and operational efficiency in waste-to-energy applications, promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Jenike & Johanson's Jen-Zero™ technology has been patented, specifically targeting the reliable feeding of low-density biomass and municipal solid waste (MSW) into high-pressure reactors. The system employs a unique diverging pressurization geometry, facilitating a natural flow of materials and mitigating issues like flow instability and 'springback.'
Capable of processing up to 1,000 tons per day, this solution eliminates the need for energy-intensive pre-processing methods like grinding or pelletizing. By enhancing uptime and reducing maintenance, Jen-Zero™ supports improved efficiency in biofuel and waste-to-energy operations. This advancement could significantly aid in achieving carbon-negative fuel production and further global sustainability initiatives.
