J&K Dairy Development Mission Director Reviews Animal and Sheep Husbandry Schemes in Udhampur
Er. Narinder Singh Bali, Mission Director of Dairy Development in J&K, reviewed the Animal and Sheep Husbandry schemes in Udhampur, emphasizing the importance of government subsidies for sustainable livelihoods and promoting goat farming through Self-Help Groups. During his tour, he inspected farming units under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme and encouraged the establishment of biogas plants and organic farming practices. Bali also assessed the infrastructure developed under the programme, including a Common Facilitation Centre and a Bailing Unit.

Er. Narinder Singh Bali, Mission Director of Dairy Development in J&K, conducted a review tour in Udhampur to assess the impact of Animal and Sheep Husbandry sector schemes. Accompanied by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr.
Shwetambri Khajuria and District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr. Farhat Bashir, he inspected various farming units established under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The Mission Director interacted with farmers to gather feedback on resource availability and challenges.
He emphasized the utilization of government subsidies for sustainable livelihoods and advocated for the promotion of goat farming through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Bali encouraged the establishment of biogas plants for circular economy benefits and highlighted the importance of organic farming practices. He also inspected infrastructure developed under HADP, including a Common Facilitation Centre and a Bailing Unit.
