L'Oréal Selects 13 Companies for €5 Million Sustainable Innovation Program L'Accelerator

L'Oréal has chosen 13 'agents of change' from over a thousand applications across 100 countries for its sustainable innovation program, L'Accelerator, with €5 million in funding over five years. Awardees include packaging companies such as Sweden's PulPac and the UK's Pulpex, focusing on low-carbon and recyclable packaging.

Other participants include Sweden's Blue Ocean Closures, Estonia's Raiku, the UK's Kelpi, and Japan's Bioworks, offering innovative materials from wood, algae, and bioplastics. Additionally, French companies Biosynthis and Replace are recognized for their renewable ingredients and recycling technology, respectively.

US companies P2 Science and Oberon Fuels contribute green-chemistry solutions and upcycled materials. Belgian company Novobiom and Brazil's Gás Verde address waste transformation and biomethane production. L'Oréal is partnering with the University of Cambridge's Institute for Sustainability Leadership to support these initiatives.
