Madhya Pradesh Launches Farmer Welfare Initiative 'Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026' with Focus on Income and Sustainability
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has launched the 'Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026' initiative aimed at enhancing farmers' income and promoting sustainable agriculture through ten directional models involving 16 departments. Key projects include the promotion of natural farming, the establishment of Compressed Biogas plants, and the setup of a State Shree Anna Research Centre to boost millet production. The initiative also includes providing solar pumps to 30 lakh farmers and introducing an e-Development System for agricultural management.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the launch of 'Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026', focusing on increasing farmers' income, reducing costs, and promoting sustainable agriculture. The initiative involves 10 directional models and the involvement of 16 departments in farmer welfare.
Key projects include promoting natural and organic farming, implementing More Crop Per Drop 2.0, and managing soil health. Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants will be established to utilize agricultural waste.
The state aims to enhance agricultural exports through branding and innovation. A Madhya Pradesh State Shree Anna Research Centre will be set up in Dindori to support millet production. Additionally, solar pumps will be provided to 30 lakh farmers. CM Yadav also introduced an e-Development System for agricultural management and flagged off a tractor rally of 1,101 tractors.
