Mahanagar Gas signed an MoU with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to establish a 1,000 TPD compressed biogas plant in Mumbai, with an investment of Rs 500 crore. The plant will process food and vegetable waste supplied by BMC, serving as a waste treatment, organic fertilizer, and green fuel production unit. The initiative aims to enhance waste management and contribute to cleaner energy sources, aligning with the petroleum ministry's goal of 5,000 CBG plants in India.
