Marca Ambiental Launches Biogas Plant in Cariacica, ES to Produce Renewable Energy

BIOFUELS

Marca Ambiental's new biogas plant at the Cariacica landfill in Espírito Santo is set to begin operations in the first half of this year. Managed by Timenow, the project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with Espírito Santo's Decarbonization Plan and Brazil's Federal Fuel Law.

The facility will produce up to 30,000 m³ of biometano daily, equivalent to about 15,000 gas cylinders, making it the first in Espírito Santo and the second in Brazil directly connected to the gas distribution network. This integration will lower logistics costs and increase scalability for use in vehicles and industrial processes.

The project incorporates Time Connect technology for efficient project management. The venture, supported by imported equipment mainly from Japan and France, reflects a commitment to innovative, sustainable energy solutions, with plans to replicate the model in six additional units across Brazil.
