MHP, Ukraine's largest poultry manufacturer, is acquiring a poultry slaughterhouse and processing facility from Agrol, aiming to enhance its EU poultry exports. The asset, valued at over $5 million, is under review by Ukraine's Antimonopoly Service.

MHP clarified that the acquisition pertains only to slaughterhouse and processing facilities, with Agrol retaining its poultry farming assets. The deal is seen as an investment in sustainability and Ukraine's food security.

Agrol reported UAH 1.8 billion ($42 million) in net revenue in 2024. The facilities, built between 2018 and 2021, are strategically located near the EU, especially benefiting MHP's logistical operations towards the Polish market.

In addition to poultry, MHP has been a key player in biomethane exports, accounting for 77% of the 2025 supply of 11.2 million cubic meters to Europe. MHP aims to boost biomethane production, potentially attracting €5 billion in investments by 2029.
