Moeve Supplies 515 Metric Tons of SAF to Condor for Flights from Tenerife to Germany
Moeve has supplied over 515 metric tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Condor for flights from Tenerife South Airport, Canary Islands. This SAF, produced from used cooking oils and agricultural waste, is projected to reduce lifecycle CO₂ emissions by 1,700 tons compared to conventional jet fuel.
The fuel supports routes connecting Tenerife with Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf. Aena reports that Condor serves over 450,000 passengers annually at the airport. Moeve is also constructing a second-generation biofuels plant at its La Rábida Energy Park in Huelva, with a capacity of 500,000 tons of SAF and renewable diesel, expected to start production at the end of 2026. This initiative is part of Moeve's Positive Motion strategy to lead the energy transition in Europe by 2030.
