Natura Partners with Ultragaz to Launch Biogas Supply Unit for Industrial Decarbonization in Brazil
Natura &Co has inaugurated a biometano supply unit with Ultragaz at its Cajamar (SP) facility, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The biometano will power industrial processes and the company's transportation fleet, projected to represent 45% of the plant's energy matrix. This initiative is expected to cut CO₂ emissions by approximately 1,300 tons annually, equivalent to removing 280 cars from the streets daily. The project aligns with Natura's Climate Transition Plan, targeting significant carbon footprint reductions by 2030.

Natura &Co has launched a biometano supply unit in partnership with Ultragaz at its Cajamar, São Paulo facility to enhance sustainability efforts. The biometano, a renewable fuel derived from organic waste, will be used for energy generation and transportation.
It is projected to account for 45% of the facility's energy matrix, servicing 28 trucks on distribution routes. Consumption is estimated at 3.5 million cubic meters annually, equivalent to the consumption of 30,000 Brazilian households. The initiative aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by about 1,300 tons per year, supporting Natura’s Climate Transition Plan with ambitious carbon reduction goals by 2030.
