Nobina to Launch 27 New Scania Biogas Buses in Southern Sweden
Nobina has secured 27 Scania biogas buses to enhance regional transport for Skånetrafiken, marking the debut of the Scania Irizar i4 model in Sweden. This initiative supports Sweden's renewable fuel strategy by utilizing locally produced biogas, promoting sustainability and supply security in public transport.

Nobina will introduce 27 Scania biogas buses to serve routes in southern Sweden under Skånetrafiken. The vehicles, specified for longer intercity travel with coach seating and toilet facilities, will utilize compressed biogas, significantly produced domestically.
This order expands Nobina's existing fleet of Scania biogas buses and reinforces ongoing investments in renewable fuels in the Skåne region. Collaboration with Irizar's representative, LECAB Lastbilar AB, will facilitate the production and delivery process.
The introduction of the Scania Irizar i4 model, previously successful in other European markets, is expected to enhance comfort and energy efficiency for passengers. The move aligns with broader efforts in Sweden to promote sustainable transport solutions.
