Omrin has deployed a custom Scania P340 CNG truck designed for heavy-duty container transport at its facility in Heerenveen. This truck features a reinforced chassis, a 30-ton Kessler rear axle, and a 40-ton VDL container system, making it suitable for handling extremely heavy loads.
The vehicle operates on biogas produced from Omrin’s own digesters and is equipped with a dual cooling system to manage dust and heat in demanding environments. Ergonomics were prioritized in its design, including a Liftmate entry lift for driver comfort.
All safety systems, such as pedestrian detection and EBS, are operational, enhancing safety in waste management operations. Omrin processes waste from 1.6 million households and 10,000 businesses, with an expanding focus beyond Friesland.
