PITX Transitions to 100% Renewable Energy Amid Energy Crisis
PITX has transitioned to being fully powered by renewable energy, specifically geothermal energy from First Gen Corp. This shift is crucial for maintaining stable operations during a national energy crisis and supports the terminal's capacity to handle 60 million passengers this year.

PITX is now entirely powered by geothermal energy from First Gen Corp., enabling stable operations amid ongoing energy challenges. The terminal is projected to accommodate 60 million passengers within the year, governed by a 35-year build-transfer-operate contract with Megawide's MWM Terminals, Inc.
Additionally, PITX is launching Xpress EV, an electric transport option aimed at enhancing sustainable mobility. This synergy between renewable energy and electric transportation could significantly improve commuter experiences and operational resilience, potentially serving as a model for other infrastructure projects in the region.
