QCAR and Energy Estate Collaborate on Biofuel Project at Abbot Point, Queensland
Queensland Cane Agriculture and Renewables (QCAR) has partnered with Energy Estate to develop the BioNQ facility at Abbot Point. The project aims to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), renewable diesel, and green methanol from local feedstocks such as sugarcane and sorghum.

Queensland Cane Agriculture and Renewables (QCAR) is collaborating with Energy Estate to advance the BioNQ biofuel project at Abbot Point, near Bowen. The facility will focus on producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), renewable diesel, and green methanol. The project will utilize locally sourced feedstocks, including sugarcane, sorghum, and agricultural residues, to support renewable energy initiatives in the region.
