Rambøll to Expand Water Business Significantly with Envidan Acquisition
Rambøll plans to significantly enhance its global water business by acquiring Envidan, a firm specializing in water and wastewater consulting, which reported revenues of 680 million DKK for the 2024/25 fiscal year. The acquisition, pending regulatory approval, could boost Rambøll's Water segment revenue by 40%, while also integrating Envidan's energy services into its existing operations.

Rambøll is set to significantly expand its global water business through the acquisition of Envidan, a company specializing in water and wastewater consulting, software, and contracting. Envidan reported revenues of 680 million DKK for the 2024/25 fiscal year, expected to reach 800 million DKK in the current financial year.
Rambøll's Water segment generated approximately 1.2 billion DKK in 2024, accounting for about 7% of its total revenue. The acquisition could lead to a 40% growth in this segment, pending regulatory approval in the coming months.
Envidan also offers services in the energy sector, including biogas and district heating, which will likely be integrated into Rambøll's existing energy segment. Both companies report gross revenue figures, not net project revenue, and Rambøll aims to maintain Envidan's current operations post-acquisition.
