Local group member Pat Shanahan indicated the possibility of a judicial review if the appeal is unsuccessful.

Roadstone has lodged an appeal with An Coimisiún Pleanala following Tipperary County Council's refusal of planning permission for a bio-methane plant at their Killough quarry near Holycross. The proposal faced significant opposition from the local community, evidenced by 217 submissions against the project.
Roadstone argued that the anaerobic digester would contribute to reducing emissions and their carbon footprint. The Killough Biogas Concern Committee criticized the public consultation as merely a box-ticking exercise, suggesting that a more interactive town hall meeting would have been beneficial. Pat Shanahan from the local group noted that they anticipated the appeal and are prepared to consider a judicial review if required.
