December saw a 44.6% month-over-month increase in biobunker sales, although Q4 sales dropped 42.3% quarter-over-quarter and 41.2% year-over-year. The implementation of the FuelEU Maritime regulation has spurred interest in marine biofuels from shipowners.
The Singapore biobunker market has shown signs of slow demand entering 2026, with limited inquiries and small volumes. Platts assessed biobunker prices on January 13, with premiums noted over benchmark marine fuel assessments.
