South Dakota Board of Economic Development Approves $28 Million in Funding for Projects in Madison, Yankton, and Toronto

The South Dakota Board of Economic Development approved funding for two projects that will generate over $28 million and retain 383 full-time jobs. A $500,000 SD Works legacy loan was awarded to the Madison Area Development Corporation for establishing a Perpetual Seed Fund Program aimed at supporting new businesses.
Hydro Extrusion USA in Yankton received a grant of up to $555,618 for reinvestment at its facility to enhance operations. The board also recognized a $57 million dairy digester project by Plainview Biogas in Toronto, with tax-exempt qualified expenses of up to $40.3 million, facilitating methane emissions conversion to renewable natural gas.
