Suntory and Carrefour Launch SLBP Initiatives to Reduce Plastic Waste

BIOFUELS

Carrefour and Suntory Beverage & Food France have initiated actions under their Sustainable Linked Business Plan (SLBP) to eliminate plastic packaging and implement biomethane trucks for transport. A new transport flow using biomethane is operational between Suntory's Meyzieu site and Carrefour's Saint-Vulbas warehouse.

The initiative aims to reduce CO₂ emissions from transport by 12% by 2030, utilizing alternative energies like biomethane. Additionally, from January to May 2026, Suntory will test a program in 10 Breton stores to sell its brands' cans without plastic grouping film, targeting a reduction of 520 tons of plastic and achieving 100% recycled plastic in its packaging.
