SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUELBIOFUELS
Syzygy Plasmonics signed a six-year Sustainable Aviation Fuel offtake agreement with Trafigura Pte Ltd for its first plant, NovaSAF-1, located in Durazno, Uruguay. The agreement covers the entire production capacity, with initial deliveries expected in 2028 and an option for Trafigura to purchase additional volumes from future projects.
Syzygy's technology uses biogas and renewable electricity to produce RFNBO-compliant SAF with up to 90% lower lifecycle emissions than fossil jet fuel. This agreement positions Syzygy to access project financing and expand SAF production to meet regulatory mandates in Europe and the UK.
