Syzygy Plasmonics and Trafigura Sign Six-Year Agreement for Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Syzygy Plasmonics has entered a six-year offtake agreement with Trafigura Pte Ltd for its Sustainable Aviation Fuel plant, NovaSAF-1, in Durazno, Uruguay, covering the plant's entire production capacity. Initial deliveries are slated for 2028, with Trafigura having the option to purchase additional volumes from future projects. The innovative technology employed by Syzygy aims to produce RFNBO-compliant SAF with up to 90% lower lifecycle emissions than fossil jet fuel, positioning the company for project financing and compliance with upcoming regulatory mandates in Europe and the UK.
