Syzygy Plasmonics Signs Six-Year SAF Offtake Agreement with Trafigura
Syzygy Plasmonics has entered a six-year offtake agreement with Trafigura Pte Ltd for the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) produced at its NovaSAF-1 plant in Uruguay, with initial deliveries slated for 2028. The agreement allows Trafigura to purchase additional quantities from future Syzygy projects, as the plant aims to produce SAF with lifecycle emissions 90% lower than fossil jet fuel, addressing the growing demand for sustainable feedstocks and supporting global decarbonization efforts.

Syzygy Plasmonics has signed a six-year offtake agreement for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with Trafigura Pte Ltd. The contract covers the entire production of the NovaSAF-1 plant in Uruguay, with initial deliveries expected in 2028.
The agreement allows Trafigura to purchase additional quantities from future Syzygy projects. NovaSAF-1 will utilize biogas and renewable energy to produce SAF with lifecycle emissions 90% lower than fossil jet fuel.
This initiative aims to address the demand for SAF amid limited sustainable feedstocks and supports global decarbonization goals for 2030. The project is positioned to replicate the model worldwide following the completion of its FEL-3 development phase.
