TCMA and Chulalongkorn University Partner with Canadian Entities for Low-Carbon Industry Initiative
The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and Chulalongkorn University have signed a MoU to advance low-carbon technologies with support from Canadian partners. This initiative aims to develop carbon capture solutions and support Thailand's Net Zero 2050 target by integrating industry, academia, and government efforts.

The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chulalongkorn University to promote low-carbon technology development, aided by partners like Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This initiative focuses on the SARABURI SANDBOX as a testing environment for carbon capture technologies, essential for achieving Thailand's Net Zero 2050 commitment.
The collaboration seeks to enhance workforce readiness and policy frameworks for industrial-scale deployment of these technologies, ultimately improving national competitiveness in sustainability. The project aligns with Thailand's climate strategies and is seen as a model for regional industrial decarbonization.
