Tenders Announced for Rahan Flood Defence Consultancy Services
The Office of Public Works has issued a tender for consultancy services for a flood relief scheme in Rahan. The project aims to construct a flood defence wall to protect residential areas and infrastructure, highlighting the importance of environmental compliance.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is seeking tenders for engineering and environmental consultancy services for a flood relief initiative in Tullybeg, Rahan. This project includes the creation of approximately 430 meters of a reinforced concrete flood defence wall designed to safeguard residential properties and the local wastewater treatment facility.
The estimated contract value stands at €220,000, encompassing detailed design, hydrological modelling, and environmental assessments. The expected duration for the contract is 36 months, with tender submissions opening on September 18. OPW will oversee the flood defence works, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations pertinent to local wildlife and the Rahan monastic complex.
