TIM Increases Renewable Energy Production and Implements AI for Efficiency
TIM generates 70% of its energy from 136 renewable sources, aiming for efficiency in energy consumption through AI. This shift aligns with its ESG agenda and addresses sustainability challenges in telecommunications.

TIM produces approximately 474 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually from 136 solar, hydro, and biogas plants across 23 states and the Federal District, supporting over 20,000 mobile antennas. Since 2021, the company operates on 100% renewable energy, supplemented by market acquisitions and international renewable energy certificates (I-RECs).
In 2025, TIM initiated AI projects to enhance energy management, focusing on consumption patterns and anomaly detection. TIM's efforts have earned it a spot on the CDP 'A List' for three consecutive years, reflecting its commitment to transparency and climate management. The company is also facilitating renewable energy adoption among employees and consumers through partnerships and incentives.
