Titan Clean Fuels Completes First FuelEU Maritime Pool Verification
Titan Clean Fuels has finalized its initial FuelEU Maritime pooling exercise for 2025, verified by DNV. The pool included hundreds of vessels to balance compliance deficits and surpluses among operators, showcasing the potential of the pooling mechanism for future compliance periods.

Titan Clean Fuels, part of Molgas, announced the successful completion of its first FuelEU Maritime pool, which included several hundred vessels, verified by DNV. Approximately 73% of the LNG consumption by Titan's Optimus bunker vessel during this period was liquefied biomethane, with expectations for 100% in the next phase.
The pooling mechanism is designed to enhance the competitive advantage of alternative fuels, particularly LNG and LBM, while supporting the shipping industry's transition to low-carbon propulsion. As operators strive to improve environmental performance and mitigate FuelEU penalties, pooling is positioned to become a prevalent trend in 2026 and beyond.
