Roeland Baan will step down as President and CEO of Topsoe A/S on 31 May 2026, with Elena Scaltritti appointed as his successor effective 1 June 2026. Baan will continue as CEO until the transition. Under his leadership, Topsoe has made significant strategic investments, including the expansion of electrolyzer capabilities and the inauguration of Europe's largest SOEC manufacturing facility, supported by the EU Innovation Fund.

Baan also oversaw the opening of a new catalyst production facility in Bayport, Texas, and advanced partnerships for clean fuels, including the launch of Zaffra, a joint venture with Sasol for sustainable aviation fuel production. During his tenure, Topsoe's 2040 net-zero target was approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, and the company achieved strong financial performance and successful financing activities.
