VA Tech Wabag Establishes Ghaziabad Bioenergy for CBG Project in Uttar Pradesh
VA Tech Wabag Limited has formed a new subsidiary, Ghaziabad Bioenergy Private Limited, to implement a compressed bio-gas (CBG) project in Uttar Pradesh. Incorporated on February 16, 2026, as a joint venture with PEAK Sustainability Partners LLP, the subsidiary will develop a CBG project on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis. This initiative follows Wabag's earlier agreement with Peak Sustainability Ventures to establish 100 CBG plants across India, reflecting growth in the bioenergy sector.

VA Tech Wabag Limited has incorporated Ghaziabad Bioenergy Private Limited on February 16, 2026, as a 51:49 joint venture with PEAK Sustainability Partners LLP. This subsidiary will develop a compressed bio-gas (CBG) project in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis.
The initial paid-up capital is Rs 1 lakh, with Wabag holding 51% and PEAK holding 49%. This initiative is part of Wabag's strategy to expand into the bio-CNG and biogas segments, following an earlier agreement to develop 100 CBG plants at sewage treatment facilities across India.
