Vietnam is set to launch a nationwide supply of E10 biofuel gasoline in 2026, with major companies like Petrolimex and PVOIL preparing their facilities and ensuring compliance with technical standards. Effective June 1, 2026, all unleaded gasoline must be blended into E10, supported by local ethanol production and imports. The Dung Quat Oil Refinery is also upgrading its systems to facilitate this transition.

Major Vietnamese enterprises are set to commence the nationwide supply of E10 biofuel gasoline in 2026. Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has completed upgrades to its storage and blending facilities and trained staff to ensure compliance with technical standards.
The company plans to synchronize the rollout from early 2026, securing ethanol (E100) and mineral gasoline supplies. Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) operates 12 biofuel blending facilities and maintains strong links with domestic ethanol plants, covering 50% of national demand, while importing the remainder from the US, Brazil, and Thailand.
Effective June 1, 2026, all unleaded gasoline must be blended into E10. The Dung Quat Oil Refinery is upgrading its systems to supply E10 gasoline, while the Dung Quat Biofuel Plant is set to restart in January 2026 to produce ethanol. In 2025, Petrovietnam achieved an estimated total revenue of VND1.105 quadrillion, contributing significantly to the national budget.
