VIT-AP University Partners with EESL to Enhance Energy Efficiency Initiatives
VIT-AP University is collaborating with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) to promote energy efficiency across sectors. This partnership, announced during Energy Conservation Week (March 10-14, 2026), aims to develop innovative technologies and transform 20,000 students into 'Champions of Climate Action.' Plans include achieving a carbon-free campus and establishing a Centre for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability for research in smart grids and green buildings.

VIT-AP University will collaborate with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) to accelerate energy efficiency initiatives announced during Energy Conservation Week (March 10-14, 2026). The partnership seeks to develop cost-effective technologies and aims to convert its 20,000 students into 'Champions of Climate Action.'
The university plans to achieve a carbon-free campus using smart meters, IoT monitoring, AI energy management, rooftop solar, LED retrofits, smart street lighting, and biogas plants. A Centre for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability will be established for research on smart grids and carbon monitoring.
