Wärtsilä has agreed to sell its Gas Solutions business to German private equity firm Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, continuing its portfolio restructuring strategy. The Gas Solutions division, which generated €300 million in revenue in 2024, specializes in systems and lifecycle solutions across the gas value chain, including maritime gas handling and biogas applications.

This divestment aims to enhance performance and unlock value, with the Gas Solutions unit operating independently within Wärtsilä's Portfolio Business. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.
