Yosemite Clean Energy Receives $416,000 Grant for Bioenergy Facility Development
Yosemite Clean Energy has secured a $416,000 grant to develop a gasification bioenergy facility in Tuolumne County, CA. This funding will enable a biomass inventory model, contributing to the region's sustainable bioeconomy and job creation.

Yosemite Clean Energy has been awarded $416,000 from the Sierra Jobs First Governing Council to support the establishment of a gasification bioenergy facility in Tuolumne County, CA. The funding will aid in creating a biomass and timber inventory model aimed at fostering a sustainable bioeconomy across the Central Sierra Nevada region.
The facility plans to utilize up to 100,000 bone-dry tons of biomass annually, producing carbon-negative hydrogen while employing 70 people directly and creating additional jobs in related sectors. The project utilizes Austrian gasification technology to mitigate wildfire risks and enhance community resilience.
