MIMIT Introduces €953 Million Funding for Space Sector Projects in Italy
MIMIT has launched two funding initiatives totaling €953 million aimed at boosting the space economy through innovative projects. This strategic move is designed to enhance Italy's competitive position in attracting foreign investment and fostering industrial development.

MIMIT has rolled out two significant funding programs: 'Investimenti sostenibili 4.0' with €448 million for SMEs and 'Scoperta imprenditoriale II' offering over €505 million for collaborative R&D. Funded projects can range from €1 million to €5 million, focusing on technologies crucial for the space industry.
Italy is set to host 242 greenfield projects as of 2024, reflecting a robust investment environment amidst a downturn in other European nations. The influx of foreign investment is expected to boost Italy's GDP growth without adding to national debt, highlighting a strategic advantage for attracting capital.
