Port of Sunnyside Enhances Infrastructure to Support Industrial Development
Sunnyside's port expansion includes doubling wastewater treatment to 4 million gallons daily and developing 200 acres of industrial land. These initiatives aim to boost local economic growth and job creation through sustainable practices.

The Port of Sunnyside plans to expand its wastewater treatment capacity to 4 million gallons per day. A renewable natural gas facility will also be established to process dairy waste into energy, addressing environmental issues in the agricultural sector.
Furthermore, over 200 acres of industrial land are being developed alongside a new 5-bay hangar at Sunnyside Airport. These infrastructure improvements are designed to attract businesses that complement the agricultural economy and are projected to create jobs and attract investments.
